The authors have secured interviews with, among many many others, Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak and former Apple CEO Gil Amelio, the man many people credit with being responsible for bringing Steve Jobs back into Apple after he had been famously ‘fired’. Either Wozniak or Amelio will be writing the Foreword for the book.
Steve Jobs…how unlikely that this man from the world of technology, a man of meager education and no particular talents, should have become one of the best known people around the world.
Some insightful books have been written about Steve, but none have focused on the mystery of his management style, a style so unique that it has led him to create shock waves of innovation that have, incredibly, remade three industries, one of the very few people in history to have done so. So what are the secrets? How has this one man been so singularly successful in leading team after team of his people to create wildly popular, habit-forming, behavior-shaping products that are always the last word in defining the meaning of intuitive, user-friendly, stylish, convenient, and gotta-have?
This book will reveal the real Steve Jobs and show entrepreneurs, managers, and executives how they can become more effective leaders the Steve Jobs way. But this is much more than a management book. Though Steve is one of the most written-about leaders of industry, the myriad articles and books about have virtually all been written by outsiders---and usually outsiders Steve wouldn’t grant an interview to, at the same time doing his damnedest as well to make sure no one who knew him even slightly would talk to the writer.
