ONE ROOM. TWO LIARS. NO WAY OUT.

This ‘locked-room thriller’ takes place over the course of 4 hours. The novel opens with therapist Susanna Fenton welcoming a new client, Adam Geraghty. She is immediately drawn to this sweet and rather handsome young man, who seems strangely familiar. He starts to talk about his girlfriend and relationship issues – so far, so standard. But then he shows Susanna a photo of his girlfriend. It is her daughter. He makes it very clear – if Susanna doesn’t do as he asks, he will kill her.

Kept captive in her own office, in a race-against-time to save her daughter, Susanna must face a painful past which she has spent years trying to escape from – and it will only get more painful as Adam reveals another big secret.

 

Simon Lelic is the author of The House, Rupture (winner of a Betty Trask Award and shortlisted for the John Creasy New Blood Dagger), The Facility and The Child Who (longlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger and CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger 2012). The House is his first psychological thriller, inspired by a love of Alfred Hitchcock and Stephen King.
