◎伊薩克‧狄尼森(Isak Dinesen)：丹麥著名現代作家，多次被提名諾貝爾文學獎。狄尼森曾居肯亞，其生平故事被拍攝為電影《遠離非洲》(Out of Africa)，榮獲1985年奧斯卡最佳影片。

◎格林多溫‧布魯克斯(Gwendolyn Brooks)：美國詩人，憑藉第二部詩集《Annie Allen》榮獲普立茲詩歌獎，也是首位榮獲此獎項的非裔女性。她也曾獲選伊利諾州桂冠詩人。

◎科萊特(Colette)：法國作家，以愛情小說見長，代表作為《金粉世界》(Gigi)，後改編為電影與舞台劇。科萊特曾獲諾貝爾文學獎提名。

◎喬治亞‧歐姬芙(Georgia O’Keeffe)：美國藝術大師，以半抽象半寫實畫作手法聞名，獲頒美國國家藝術獎章。

此外還有維多利亞時代作家喬治‧艾略特(George Eliot)、美國現代主義詩人瑪麗安‧穆爾(Marianne Moore) 、美國爵士音樂家瑪麗‧盧‧威廉斯(Mary Lou Williams)，以及改變黑人舞蹈地演員地位的舞蹈家凱薩琳‧鄧翰(Katherine Dunham)等人。

蘇珊‧古巴爾(Susan Gubar)，美國知名作家、文學評論家。她曾和作家桑德拉‧吉爾伯特(Sandra Gilbert)合著《The Madwoman in the Attic: The Woman Writer and the Nineteenth-Century Literary Imagination》，成為女性主義研究跨時代著作。她們同獲美國國家書評人協會(NBCC)頒發伊凡‧珊卓夫(Ivan Sandrof)終生成就獎。另外，蘇珊也是美國印第安納大學英文與女性研究榮譽教授。她目前住在印第安那州布魯明頓。
